Where and When: U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum, December 7, 10am – 4pm
Starting Line Saturdays is a monthly event that happens on the first Saturday of each month, during which guests can participate in athlete meet-and-greets, artifact demonstrations, and museum trivia.
Artifact Demonstrations: 11am – 2pm
Experience the history, triumphs, and inspiring stories behind some of the most iconic items from past Games.
Meet Sarah Hildebrandt Olympic Gold Medalist: 12 – 1pm
Sarah Hildebrandt, 2024 Olympic Wrestling Champion, will be doing a meet and greet with guests from 12 – 1pm
Discussion USA Men’s Wrestling Head Coach Bill Zadick: 1 – 2pm
Guests will gain an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at what drives Team USA’s success. Team members from the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee, the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center, Olympic City USA, and various National Governing Bodies will visit the museum to share insights into their roles and how they contribute to Team USA’s success.
This month’s discussion focuses on leadership and success in the sport of wrestling, featuring the National Men’s Freestyle Head Coach, Bill Zadick.
Museum Trivia: All day
Go through the museum and test your knowledge with museum trivia! Examine artifacts on display, interact with the guest experience team, and learn more about what makes Team USA so special.
Where and When: Pioneer’s Museum, December 7, 2 – 6pm:
Families are invited to join the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum for our annual FREE holiday celebration. On your way to the parade, stop by our Festival of Lights Family Fun Day at the CSPM. From 2 – 6pm enjoy musical performances, crafts, face painting, and other family-friendly activities. Stop by from 4:30 – 6pm to warm up with hot chocolate and cookies. Don’t miss this special tradition that’s brought magic to the Pikes Peak region for over 35 years!
