Our mission is to create an enchanting and joyous Festival of Lights Parade, a cherished holiday tradition in the Pikes Peak region. Through nearly 100 captivating entries adorned with mesmerizing lights and decorations, we aim to immerse attendees in an enchanting world of the holiday season, while also offering accompanying events, performances, and festivities that provide enjoyment and education to the general public.
Kevin Leonardo assumed the position of Executive Director for the Festival of Lights in May 2022. With a rich background in the sports and entertainment industry spanning over 20 years, Kevin is an experienced event visionary. Throughout his career, he has successfully curated meaningful experiences and fostered enduring relationships, particularly within Olympic Sports, broadcast television, and live entertainment events. Kevin has held various roles in numerous high-profile events, bringing a wealth of knowledge in both operational and production aspects.
As long-time residents of Colorado Springs for 20 years, Kevin and his wife Natascha, who works as an educator in the Manitou Springs School District, reside on the west side of Colorado Springs with their four young children.
Karole Campbell is the owner of Madwoman Marketing Strategies, a reputable local marketing and communications firm that offers comprehensive services. As part of her responsibilities for the Festival of Lights, Karole plays a crucial role in facilitating sponsorships and providing support for the marketing and communications efforts of the Parade. Karole has three grown children and also enjoys the company of three “grand-dogs.” She resides in Cascade with her partner Brian, along with their two dogs named Ruxton and Radish.
The Festival of Lights Board is composed of dedicated individuals from the community who volunteer their time. These board members generously contribute their efforts to ensure that the Festival of Lights is enjoyed by the people of Colorado Springs and the surrounding areas.
