Welcome to the Festival of Lights Parade, one of the most cherished holiday traditions in the Pikes Peak region. Rated as the best downtown event in Colorado Springs and known as the number one day downtown, this festive celebration brings joy to tens of thousands of people on Tejon Street in Downtown Colorado Springs every holiday season.
Following a one-year break, the parade will return to its customary schedule in 2024, taking place on the first Saturday of December. Experience the magical ambiance of the holiday season as you observe almost 100 enchanting floats, each embellished with captivating lights and decorations, all in accordance with this year’s parade theme. The entire parade route undergoes a festive makeover, overflowing with the cheerful spirit of the holidays. Local businesses and community organizations, regardless of size, unite to craft charming and enchanting displays that will delight both young and old alike.
The Parade is aired live on our media partner KKTV and rerun during the holiday season, expanding the opportunity for more individuals to share in the enchantment. As a non-profit organization, the Parade relies solely on entry fees, donations, and sponsorships for support. It is organized each year by a dedicated volunteer board of directors, two contract employees, and numerous volunteers from the local community. We extend our deepest appreciation to all involved, as this remarkable occasion wouldn’t be achievable without their contributions.
Thank you for being a part of the Festival of Lights Parade, and we look forward to creating unforgettable memories with you this holiday season!
