Welcome to the Festival of Lights Parade, one of the most cherished holiday traditions in the Pikes Peak region. Rated as the best downtown event in Colorado Springs and known as the number one day downtown, this festive celebration brings joy to crowds of over 70,000 people on Tejon Street in Downtown Colorado Springs every holiday season.
Traditionally held on the first Saturday in December, the Parade will be moving back a week for 2023. Immerse yourself in the enchanting world of the holiday season as you witness nearly 100 captivating entries, each adorned with mesmerizing lights and decorations, all in line with the parade theme for 2023: ‘Sounds of the Season.’ The entire parade route is transformed into a festive wonderland, brimming with joyous holiday spirit. From local businesses to community organizations, both big and small come together to create delightful and magical scenes that will captivate the hearts of children and adults alike.
The Parade is broadcasted live on our media sponsor KKTV and rebroadcast throughout the holiday season, allowing even more people to experience the magic. As a non-profit organization, the Parade relies solely on entry fees, donations, and sponsorships for support. It is organized each year by a dedicated volunteer board of directors, two contract employees, and numerous volunteers from the local community. We are immensely grateful for the support of everyone involved, as this incredible event would not be possible without them.
Thank you for being a part of the Festival of Lights Parade, and we look forward to creating unforgettable memories with you this holiday season!
