Welcome to the Festival of Lights Parade – A Colorado Springs Tradition
Now in its 41st year, the Festival of Lights Parade continues to be one of the most beloved holiday traditions in the Pikes Peak region. Routinely rated as the highest attended and most celebrated event in Downtown Colorado Springs, the Parade transforms Tejon Street into a dazzling winter wonderland, drawing tens of thousands of spectators each December.
After a brief hiatus, the Parade returned to its traditional format in 2024 and will once again take place on the first Saturday of December. This magical evening features nearly 100 illuminated floats, each creatively designed in harmony with this year’s festive theme. From charming characters to twinkling lights and holiday music, the entire parade route becomes a joyful celebration that brings warmth and wonder to audiences of all ages.
The real magic behind the Festival of Lights Parade lies in the community that brings it to life. Every year, local businesses, schools, nonprofits, and civic groups come together to craft entries, donate resources, and give their time—all in the spirit of the season. Their dedication and creativity are the heart of this cherished event.
The Parade is proudly broadcast live by our media partner KKTV, with replays throughout the holiday season, extending the joy to viewers across the region. As a nonprofit organization, the Parade depends entirely on entry fees, sponsorships, and donations—and in 2025, that support is more important than ever. With rising costs and a recent loss of key funding sources, every contribution is more critical than ever to ensure this cherished tradition continues to shine.
We are deeply grateful for the continued support of our incredible community. Your involvement—whether as a participant, sponsor, donor, volunteer, or spectator—makes this tradition possible.
Thank you for being a part of the Festival of Lights Parade. Let’s make this holiday season unforgettable — together.
