Welcome to the Festival of Lights Parade – A Colorado Springs Tradition
Now in its 42nd year, the Festival of Lights Parade remains one of the most beloved holiday traditions in the Pikes Peak region. Routinely recognized as one of the largest and most celebrated events in Downtown Colorado Springs, the parade transforms Tejon Street into a dazzling winter wonderland, drawing tens of thousands of spectators each December.
This magical evening features nearly 100 parade entries, including illuminated floats, local high school marching bands, and festive performers—all creatively designed to reflect the year’s theme. From the energy of live music to twinkling lights and holiday characters, the entire parade route becomes a joyful celebration that brings warmth and wonder to audiences of all ages.
The parade is proudly broadcast live by our media partner, KKTV, with replays throughout the holiday season—extending the magic to viewers across the region.
The true heart of the Festival of Lights Parade is the community that brings it to life. Each year, local businesses, schools, nonprofits, and civic groups come together to create entries, contribute resources, and volunteer their time—all in the spirit of the season. Their creativity and dedication are what make this tradition shine.
As a nonprofit organization, the parade relies on entry fees, sponsorships, and donations. In 2026, your support is more important than ever. With rising costs and the loss of key funding sources, community support plays a critical role in ensuring this cherished tradition continues for years to come.
We are deeply grateful for our incredible community. Your involvement—whether as a participant, sponsor, donor, volunteer, or spectator—makes this event possible.
Thank you for being part of the Festival of Lights Parade. Let’s make this holiday season unforgettable—together.
